At the July meeting of the Licensing Board, Board Member C. Bayless Ridenhour of Concord was elected to serve as Chairman for the year beginning August 1, 1978. Mr. Ridenhour, who is also a Director of the National Association of Real Estate License Law Officials, became a member of the Licensing Board on October 31, 1973 by appointment of Governor James E. Hoishouser, Jr.

William C. Stokes of Reidsville was elected Vice-Chairman of the Board. As owner of William C. Stokes and Company, he has been active in the field of real estate brokerage, finance and insurance since 1928.
